This short video shows you exactly how to connect your hearing aids to Auracast™ at Greenville Theatre. If you prefer to read, the written steps are just below.
Check that your devices are compatible. Your hearing aids need to support Bluetooth LE Audio with Auracast™, or be paired with an Auracast™ receiver or assistant device.
Open your hearing aid app or Auracast™ assistant. On most phones this is the manufacturer's app for your hearing aids. Some phones also have a built-in Auracast™ option in the Bluetooth settings.
Adjust the sound to your preference. Once connected, use your app to set the volume and balance between the broadcast and the sounds around you.
Enjoy the show. Your hearing aids will stay connected for the performance. To disconnect afterward, simply leave the broadcast in your app or turn Bluetooth off and on.
Tip box: Arrive a few minutes early to get connected before the lights go down. Theatre staff can point you to the help resources on this page.

Note: Some of these need a quick software update before Auracast appears. If your model is listed and it isn't working, bring your devices in and we'll update them for you. Even if your hearing aids don't support Auracast, we can set you up with a receiver and neckloop.
Auracast™ is built into many newer hearing aids that support Bluetooth LE Audio. Older devices can often connect through a small accessory, such as an Auracast™ receiver or assistant. Check your hearing aid app or manufacturer's website for "Auracast" or "LE Audio," or bring your make and model to us and we'll tell you where you stand.
First, make sure Bluetooth is on and your hearing aids are connected to your phone. You'll need to be inside the auditorium to see the broadcast. If it still doesn't appear, close and reopen your app, then check the broadcast list again.
Try raising the broadcast volume in your app, and check that your hearing aid batteries are charged. Moving your phone closer to you, rather than in a bag or coat pocket, can also help. If the problem continues, get in touch and we'll help you fine-tune your settings.
In most cases you'll use the app that came with your hearing aids. Some phones also include an Auracast™ option in their Bluetooth settings, so an extra download may not be necessary.
Yes. Most hearing aid apps let you adjust the balance between the broadcast and the sounds around you, so you can still hear a companion or an announcement.
Simply leave the broadcast in your app, or turn Bluetooth off and on again. Your hearing aids will return to their normal settings.
